Latte e Miele
My life flows free like milk and honey. Back in the old days, when I used to have one, the name of my xanga was 'latteemiele'. I was briefly looking through my old pictures folder for my xanga and I came across the picture above; it was for my xanga background. And then it made me want to title this blog 'latte e miele' as well. I'm still not 100% sure about it though. I'm still thinking of blog title that I am absolutely satisfied with and won't change. I'm so fickle and indecisive, ha! For now, 'latte e miele' fits because my life does flow free like milk and honey (or I'd like it to), and then I come here and post about it through photos and words :) hehe.Anyway, last week I was so so busy. I had three major exams and two quizzes. On top of all that, I had so many other little errands to run and had to volunteer for three hours for one of my classes. I feel even more pressured this semester. I know it's because of the camera I want. That's probably the only thing keeping me motivated right now. Every time my mom calls me and asks how I'm doing in my classes and stuff, I always tell her I'm doing it for the camera. And she says she will definitely get it for me so just focus on school. She better keep her word! lol Fortunately, after a really stressful week, my weekend was pretty fun. I actually stayed on campus, and didn't go off into the city, haha. It's only been a week since I've been in the city, but I miss it. Even though I'm only about 40 minutes away by subway. Luckily, I might be going this weekend to visit the Museum of Sex. That should be interesting - I'll definitely be posting about that after, haha.
So lately, I've been thinking about my new house. It's currently under construction right now. My dad is building a completely new house. It's going to be beautiful, and I can't wait to decorate my room and have my own desk, bed, closet, and bathroom again. Right now, every time I visit home, I don't have a place to stay so the couch becomes my bed, the kitchen table becomes my desk, and the chairs become my closet. About two weeks ago, my parents and I a drive through a really nice neighborhood. It was right over the Tappan Zee Bridge. The people living in these gorgeous houses have the whole view of the water and sky right from their windows. In fact, their whole house has more windows than walls. This house in particular was our favorite:
This concludes the tour of this house from outside. Nobody is living here currently. These types of houses look so nice. When I'm older, my permanent resident is going to be in NYC, but I want vacation houses like these. It'd be nice, and of course, I would need to have the money.
My brain is everywhere else, but the chemistry I should be reading and studying right now. So, I will end this here. Night loves :)

Quietdrive: Deliverance
After a world tour during the past month and a half, the boys of Quietdrive came home only for a week. Then, just this past weekend, they left for Iraq. They plan to support and perform for the u.s. troops during the two weeks they are staying there hoping to bring them a little bit of home and entertainment for them. What they are doing is amazing and I am so proud of them! The troops will surely appreciate the fun and morale that entertainers provide. One of their band members Kirby will be home with his wife Alyssa because their baby is due in March! In the meantime, Seth from Dropping Daylight will be filling in for Kirby. Best luck to the wonderful boys of Quietdrive while they are away for two weeks at Iraq. Their never-ending hard work and passion for what they do makes them my favoritest band :) <3!!

Love is like a kitten.
Chocolate, cards, roses, teddy bears, gifts... Happy Valentine's Day! I hope all you couples are having a lovely day and night. And I hope all you singles are enjoying your singularity and the ability to mingle and have fun :) For some reason, people who don't have valentines are so bitter. But honestly, there is no reason to be bitter about being single. There's no rule that says you have to have a valentine on valentines day... I mean, being single isn't that bad. In fact, people who are involved in relationships sometimes want to be single, while the singles want to be in a relationship. Why do human beings never seem to be satisfied with what they already have? Why do we always want, want, and want? That's something to think about.
Friday the 13th! Yes, they don't just call it Friday the 13th for no reason. Yesterday, I was on the F train going downtown. Usually I'm always just blasting music. Unfortunately, this turned out not to be a great idea because there was an announcement about route changes and transfers. Being the careless person that I am, I ignored it since I couldn't really hear the announcement anyway with my earphones on. I ended up somewhere...I don't even know where I was. I was so scared and worried. Plus, the fact that I only had two bars of battery life on my cellphone wasn't comforting at all. I was trying to figure way back to Manhattan by looking at the map. Utterly lost, I had to ask a man, who actually ended up being really helpful. Thanks to him, I got safely back to Manhattan. Although, I had to transfer about four times before I finally arrived at where I needed to be, I was happy I didn't get completely lost. So that was my unfortunate mishap on this dreaded day, what was yours if you had any?
So yesterday, I visited Pace with a friend. I've never been to Pace before, but it seems like a decent school. My friend's room was very very tiny, but it had cute mini walk-in closets. On this Pre-Valentine's night, we made chocolate-covered strawberries. Additionally, we also fondued bananas, blueberries, and oranges. The other girls were making these for their boyfriends, so they were decorating with sprinkles and frosting. As for me, I made them for my pure love of chocolate-covered food :D heheh
After Pace, my friend and I went to Lyric Diner, and we ate chicken tenders with fries and old-fashioned french toast. It was a good 12 a.m. meal :) heheh

When we got back to school, my friend was finishing her artwork that she was making for her boyfriend, while I attempted to watch tv, but nothing was on. I attempted going on my mac but it got boring. Sooo, I ended up just laying in bed, staring at the ceiling, thinking, and then I quietly fell asleep :] hahah and I woke up at 6:30 a.m. While my friend was still sleeping, I had to leave to catch the 8 a.m. bus at port authority to go home. When I woke up at 6:30, the sunrise view from the room window was sooo pretty! I wanted to take a picture, but my camera was too far away from me... so on my way to the subway station, I took some quickie pictures:

yogurt:toppings :: life:good times
Hi! I hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather we had this past weekend. I know I did. It was so nice and sunny :) Despite the weather, I had a great weekend nonetheless. Get ready for a huge weekend recap ;)
:: Thursday Night & Friday ::
On Thursdays, I have two classes and then I'm free starting from 10:30 a.m. I ran some errands, and then I went to the library to get a bunch of work done for the weekend. Actually, quite surprisingly I got all my homework and studying done for the weekend. Yes, I am so proud of myself. Anyways, it was around late afternoon, Jasmine and I start texting (I should really start watching my texting limits...hehe). After many texts, she texts me: "I feel like doing something spontaneous!" I replied back completely jokingly: "Come to the city!" haha and then things started happening so fast. She skipped her last class of the day, just picked up her stuff, and was already on the train to New York. Meanwhile, I was in the library reading for theology, until I realized I had to sign her in as an overnight guest, and I wasn't sure what time I had to do that by. So I as well rushed to my room and went online to register her as an overnight guest around 5:30. Oh my gosh, I was browsing online for rules about non-stj overnight visitors, and it said I had to register by 4 pm! Just to make sure, I called public safety and they said I had until 9 pm. Yayay! I was so excited for Jas to visit me. I told her very good, detailed directions about how to get to my campus. (Apparently, I can be very good at directions hehe) She got to my campus around 8:15 pm. We went to public safety and sign her in because she needed an guest pass. Speaking of guest passes, I thought they were just going to give her a slip of laminated paper or something saying "Overnight Pass". No, we both thought wrong. They went all out, took her information, took her picture, and made her a real card, all laminated and stuff. By the way, I was outside for only 15 minutes and my legs and face were frozeN! It was soooo cold that night! Wow. After she dropped her stuff in my room, we went to dunkin donuts (lol as always for late night talks). I got hot chocolate, donut, and hash browns. We talked talked and talked s'more. Then, we walked back to school. This is when our next best thing started. While I took a shower, Jas was researching and looking up places to eat for our city date Friday. We did that until about 3 in the morning. We had planned everything - shopping, dinner, barnes&nobles (but of course, you know this plan is going to get tweeked a little bit considering how spontaneous and random we are ha!) I had to wake up at 6:30 am to go to my classes. I had four classes on Friday. While I was in classes, Jas hung out in my room, made my bed, and I gave her my id card so that she go into the library and be somewhat productive lol. During my 1 hour break, we went to eat lunch at Monty's, the dining hall. After lunch, I showed her around campus while we were eating icecream :) Then I went off to class while she went to the library. As soon as I ended class at 1:15 pm, we were outttta here! We went shopping at UO (I have to stop buying shtuff!!). Eager to eat, we just went to dinner around 4:45 pm, hahaha. We went to Isle, a Thai restaurant. It was very goood.
Appetizers: ^Chicken & Shrimp Dumplings ^Shrimp Dumplings
Main Dish: Drunken Man Noodles
- very delicious! ;D

It fulfilled my appetite. However, after eating something like Thai food, your taste buds just don't stop. They want more, preferably something fresh and fruity. Our original plan was walk around and digest a little before getting dessert. Ha! That.... did not happen. As we got out of Isle, we crossed a few streets, and came across Yogurtland. Yogurtland is like Pinkberry, but better. Why? Because you get to choose from a variety of different yogurt flavors and toppings and make your own. I love frozen yogurt! :P
Left: strawberry & cheesecake with chocolate chips
Right: taro & green tea with mochi
Very very good! and all that was only $4-something. You get alot more than you would at Pinkberry for about the same price.

Our night continued as we went inside a nice jewelry store, bought some earrings (another note to self: stop buying stuff). Then we went inside Barnes & Noble. Then, our night ended as she went on a train back to Jersey and I went on a train back to school. It was a very spontaenous, fun two days :D Thank you Jas for visiting! Later that night, when I got back to campus, my friend and I had a heart-to-heart talk. It was nice spending a night in, instead of drinking. Buttttt, of course no weekend passes without booze. Time for Saturday and Sunday ;)
:: Saturday-Sunday ::
I woke up around 8 am-ish on Saturday morning. I cleaned, did some laundry, and finished my math homework. A couple of my friends and I were supposed to study for our chem exam Saturday afternoon, but that wasn't too successful. We all had other plans. As soon as I found out that we weren't going to study, I packed and went to the city to stay over Yuna's school. She goes to SVA, and for some reason, I always loveee going there. I think it's the whole ambiance of that school with unique, interesting people, the fact that the city is so conveniently planted near soho, gramercy, pinkberry, flurt, duane reade, subway, etc. hahaha. I just love it! Also, her dorm style is what I like. It's like a suite with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, and common area. Additionally, from the 16th floor, it is quite a view from her bedroom window. Minus the roaches here and there, everything else is fine :] hahah.

We went out to eat dinner at a pizza place near her school, and then I got my favorite dessert. hehe, this time I tried Flurt, another frozen yogurt place:
Toppings: fruity pebbles, pomegrante, mochi
try it! it was my first time putting pomegrante in my yogurt, and it was a goood choicee ;D

After we got ready to go out for her friend Soso's birthday. Her birthday is actually today - happy birthday! I got to see some old faces and it was a good time. My favorite alcoholic drink of all time is Captain Morgan Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, and Yuna's boyfriend got it for me! yumyumyum :P hahah. I think I had over 20 shots Saturday night, but I was still the only one who could walk, talk, think straight. I'm quite amazed at myself. I realized I can control myself better with hard liquor. I hate beer, and maybe that's why. It was a fun night, everyone did, and most importantly the birthday girl :] I noticed there are a lot birthdays February/March. Anyways, Sunday morning, we woke up and had some breakfast. Then, we went out to eat at Chipotle. Yo! That thing is so ridiculously big! I couldn't finish mine. But my goal is to finish the whole thing the next time I have it, and yes, there will be a next time ;) hahah
This weekend consisted of good food, good friends, and good yogurt* (tehehe) :) This week will be busy because I'm pretty sure about going home for the 3-day weekend, and I don't want to bring home any work with me, so I'm trying to finish everything beforehand lol. I have workstudy in 30 minutes, so 'til next time, bye!
