First Week of College Life

Let me just say that college is awesome! Being new to this whole new experience is definitely something to look forward to everyday. Out with the old, in with the new. So first week of college turned out to be better than what I predicted. Luckily the campus isn't too big, and I quickly learned to get myself around campus. People seem to real. My room is not the greatest, but I think I can deal with it for this year. I'm not much in my room anyways, so that's alright I guess. I think this goes for everyone, but so far I like everything about college, minus the actual school part-the homework, studying, exams, you get the idea. It's unfortunate that I had to come home this weekend. After waiting 18 years of my life to actually get away from home, I apparently came back lol. I don't think I'll be coming that often, it's just a hassle even though I don't live too far away. I went shopping this weekend though so that was good. Spending money is alot more fun than making money lol :D I really have to do something about my hair. I haven't done anything to it for almost a year. Maybe I'll go get my hair done or something today or tomorrow before I go back to school. Anyways, I still haven't ventured out to the city yet after moving into college. There is so much nightlife in the city that I have to explore. It should all be fun :) I'm going back to school tomorrow.

California Stars

I am moving and going to California. Today we moved EVERYTHING out of the house into a storage house. We're sleeping in our empty house for tonight and then moving out tomorrow into a hotel for a night. Then, my mom, my sister, and I are off to California since we have no other home to stay at for a week. The problem is that the owner of our new house isn't moving out until next week so we must stay in California. Staying at a hotel for a week would cost way too much, and we would rather use that money to go on vacation, wouldn't you? My dad is staying here with our puppy; he plans to stay at one of his workers' apartment. Ahh, anyways, the house is soo empty! Everything echoes. I thought the internet wouldn't work, but it's still working since we have a laptop. Today was a long, long day. I'll write when I get back from Cali! :)

Bon appetit!

Friday was my last day of work. It was so sad saying bye to the owners. They were the best. It was so much fun working at the jewelry store. Going to the city everyday made me want to actually live in the city. I loved walking every morning being all busy. I'm always going to visit the store since I'll be going to school so close to the city. Plus, I'm always welcome to come back and work there for part time if I ever need money. I love the owners- they are so generous and fun. They made work comfortable and enjoyable. After work, my mom and sister came out to the city. So we walked around, did some shopping because I wanted a new bag. I actually wanted a cute Balenciaga bag, but I can't afford that right now :( haha. A few hours later, we met up with my dad and we walked to Chinatown and then Little Italy. I like Little Italy- it's such a cute place. I bought my bag from there actually. Not completely satisfied with it, but it will do for the meantime. Anyways, we ate outdoors in Little Italy at a cute little restaurant. That street is blanketed with restaurants. I've been craving Italian food for a long time now, so dinner was good.
Today, my family and I wanted to go somewhere. We wanted something to do with nature, but not the beach. The weather wasn't even hot enough for the beach. It was actually nice, sunny, and breezy today. It wasn't so deadly to be walking outside. We want to Hyde Park to visit Franklin Delano Roosevelt's historical site. We toured his mansion, library, the museum, garden, etc. It is really country-ish and nice. I would love to have a spring/summer home at a place like that. It felt so calm and peaceful to be there. The view over the Hudson River was so surreal. Nice place, nice place.
Good night!
