Go confidently in the direction of your dreams, live the life you've imagined.

Mm, well said Thoreau, well said. Yesterday was my birthday, and I finally turned eighteen. Quite honestly, I don't really feel that different. In fact, I feel the same; just when people ask me how old I am, I feel older saying eighteen than I did saying seventeen, you know? For my birthday with the family, we went to Cheesecake Factory--really good :) I haven't had good food in a long time because I just eat salad every-single-day at work. Plus, by the time I come home, it's about 7:30 pm, and I just eat whatever little thing there is at home. Remember when birthdays were the biggest deal when we were younger? Now, I'm not into birthdays anymore. As each year comes by, I care less and less about my birthday; I only acknowledge that I gained one more year and move on. This year, we didn't even light a birthday cake for my birthday with the family.
Anyways, I haven't written in you for a long time, poor journal- but I didn't forget about you. I will try to be more consistent in my determination to write in you. So here's some juice on the happenings these days. Summer is going by quickly, and it's bittersweet. Work takes over my life basically. However, this week is my last week. It was fun working there. Los duenos son muy amables. A mi me gusta el trabajo. Very soon I will be moving into college and starting my first day of classes in the big city (well fairly close, really close). But before I do that I have to go dorm shopping (I haven't done any yet!) I'm both excited and nervous to study pharmacy. It'll be the story of my life for six years. I know there will be days when I just want to hop on the train and go to far away places, or maybe even take a stroll to the park and hunt for animal clouds. Mmm...

All good things to those who wait.

Doing your own thing.

So just a little bit more has been happening in my dull, repetitive summer life. lol. I went to my college's orientation last week from Monday to Wednesday. Let me just say that those three days were amazing. I met such great people. I loved meeting new people, real people, different people, kind people, and fun people. I also made some new friends. My Orientation Leaders were also so awesome, so down to earth, nice, and fun. Group 25, hella~! I also think the campus is pretty. It's so peaceful looking. Attending this orientation confirmed my choice about going to SJU. I am really happy about my choice and going there. I can't wait until school starts. I know I will die from all the studying and work, but I know it will be fun to get involved and making new friends :) Whoo! Work is the same as usual. The owners are chill and nice, so that's cool. Commuting could get a little annoying sometimes, but I still love going to the city everyday :)

Some happy thoughts to ponder about =):
  • babies who never cry
  • orchestras
  • a boat tour to see picturesque little orcher-and-red villages
  • brand new notebooks
  • a rich spiced chocolate drink
  • the cinema
  • fruits to smell: early apples, fresh strawberries
  • peach/banana/cream, yellow/pink/gray/sand color combinations
  • viewing everyday surrounding with a tourist's eye
  • the delicious smell of cooking food and the hustle and bustle of the preparation
  • eight hours of sleep
  • doing your own thing
